Housing Officer Sheffield £33,178 – £35,548 per annum Permanent, Full Time (37 hours per week) We have an exciting opportunity for a Housing Officer to work in The Income Management Team in the Landlord Services Directorate. We are passionate about providing excellent customer care and supporting tenants who are in financial difficulty. We are a very successful team who has a great track record of helping tenants to ensure that their rent obligation can be met. As a Housing Officer, you will be the primary contact for tenants who are concerned about paying their rent. You will work collaboratively with colleagues in the Landlord Services Directorate and external partners to ensure an effective front line service is provided. You will be instrumental in maximising rental income by providing support, collecting rent, giving debt advice, and providing information and assisting tenants with benefit related queries. You will also work closely with our Neighbourhoods and Lettings Team. Our ideal candidate will have: * Ability to work as a member of a team * Welfare and Benefit knowledge including Universal Credit * Experiencing of liaising with external agencies * Ability to work on own initiative and independently * Ability to deal with difficult and stressful situations * Ability to demonstrate working knowledge of tenancy agreements * Excellent numerical skills * Excellent communication skills * Excellent digital skills (including Word, Excel, and CX Housing Management System) * Must be passionate about customer care. * Safeguarding knowledge * This post attracts essential car user status: therefore, the post holder must have a full driving license and access to a vehicle during working hours. Car parking facility will be provided.
