An opportunity has arisen within our Operational Training section for an Incident Command Facilitator and Development Operative based at Training and Development Centre in Beaver Hill Road, Handsworth. Incident Command Facilitator and Development Operative Contract: Permanent Salary: Grade 6 (£31,067 £33,366) Hours: Full Time – 37 Hours per week (Flexi Time) Work Pattern: Mon Fri Location: Training and Development Centre, Beaver Hill Road, Handsworth, S13 9QA Overall purpose of job: To design, develop and facilitate incident command training and assessment for all command levels within South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue, utilising simulation platforms, table top and live exercise. To design, develop and facilitate incident command training and assessment for external agencies and partner organisations as required. To assist in the design, development and facilitation of multi-agency exercises and training courses. To assist in the delivery of training courses to SYFR personnel. Administration of the Effective Command database including inputting of information and trend analysis. Assist in the management of the ISO9001 Quality Management System. Establishing of Strategic Coordinating Group at the nominated location within South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue (currently at our Training and Development Centre) as and when required as an operational response within normal working hours. Delivery of training to Flexi Duty System Officers. Closing date for applications is 09:00 hours on 20/12/2024. Interested? New starters will commence on the bottom of the salary grade and will receive increases to the top of the grade on an incremental basis. We offer 28 days annual leave (pro-rata) plus Bank Holidays. Annual leave increases after 5 years service to 32 days, followed by an extra day a year up to a maximum of 37 days. We also operate a generous flexi time attendance scheme.
