An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Estates and Facilities Department for an experienced Project and Programme Manager to join the CAPITAL Programmes Section, based at Headquarters in Sheffield.
Hours: Full Time, 37 hours per week (Flexi Time)
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £44,075 - £47,181 (Grade 9) *To increase subject to national pay award negotiations for 2026.
The overall purpose of the role will be to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of all property related programmes and individual projects, delivered through government frameworks. You will be responsible for producing planning and project documentation from initial business case through to project delivery and handover, evaluating and ensuring value for money is achieved via the framework agreements. You will also be reporting on project status and communicating to senior stakeholders via formal reporting processes, implementing best practice across the team in project delivery.
This is a senior management position, acting as a key point of contact for stakeholders and holding responsibility for project completion and handover, including ensuring that Health & Safety and projects run smoothly and in line with budget control. You will be the lead Project Manager on CAPITAL programming workstreams and the delivery of planned annual estates projects.
Applicants must hold a relevant project management qualification and have extensive experience working in live environments. You will also possess sound knowledge of relevant Health & Safety legislation, Building Regulations, Asset Management principles and CAPITAL Budget/Programmes management.
