Help us make South Yorkshire safer & stronger and keep our prevention work running efficiently behind the scenes. We are recruiting three Prevention Administrators to join our Community Safety Prevention Admin Team, based at Lifewise, in Hellaby, Rotherham (agile working available).

Location: Lifewise, Hellaby, Rotherham S66 8LB (Hybrid working)

Hours: Full Time, 37 hours per week (Flexi Time)

Contract: Permanent

Salary: £25,949 - £25,989 (Grade 3) *To increase subject to national pay award negotiations for 2026.

In this important administrative role, you will be at the heart of our prevention activity supporting colleagues and partners so projects run smoothly and information is accurate, timely, and compliant. The key duties will include:

  • Providing efficient day-to-day administrative support to help deliver prevention activities and events.
  • Maintaining accurate records and data, handling information appropriately and in line with GDPR.
  • Acting as a friendly, professional point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Supporting team coordination by prioritising tasks, meeting deadlines, and keeping everyone informed.
  • Helping embed Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) into the way we work and communicate.

What you will bring:

  • Experience providing administrative support in a customer-focused environment.
  • Confidence in managing conflicting priorities and working to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong record-keeping skills.
  • Understanding of data processing and handling requirements, including GDPR compliance.
  • You will be comfortable using Microsoft Office 365 and have a minimum of GCSE Grade 4/C in English and Maths (or be able to demonstrate equivalent literacy and numeracy skills relevant to administrative tasks).

New starters will commence on the bottom of the salary grade and will receive increases to the top of the grade on an incremental basis. We offer 28 days annual leave (pro-rata) plus Bank Holidays. Annual leave increases after 5 years service to 32 days, followed by an extra day a year up to a maximum of 37 days. We also operate a generous flexi time attendance scheme. Most of our corporate roles offer flexi time and agile working, meaning people can vary their hours to suit their commitments outside of work as agreed with their line manager. Flexi time can be accrued with a potential of up to 13 days to be taken within a year.

All eligible corporate staff are auto-enrolled onto the Local Government Pension Scheme with contributions ranging from 5.5% to 12.5%. It is a defined benefit pension scheme that means pensions are based on salary and the length of paying into the scheme.
