Vehicle Technician (Mechanic in Ferndown

Overview

We’re hiring a Fleet & Equipment Technician in Dorset. You’ll work at the Ferndown Workshop, maintaining our ambulances and equipment to ensure frontline crews can treat patients promptly.

Responsibilities

To perform these tasks you will:

• Service, diagnose and repair faults on motor vehicles
• Diagnose and repair electrical/electronic faults
• Test equipment and ensure it meets operational standards
• Maintain and repair vehicles and equipment to the highest standard

You will record diagnosis details, the work completed and components used in line with Trust and manufacturer standards. You will keep work areas clean, tidy, organised and safe in accordance with the Trust’s health and safety policy. Working independently and as part of a team, you will help maintain high levels of performance and ensure the Trust’s satisfaction metrics are met at all times. You will always work towards the Trust\’s values – One Team, Compassionate, Innovative.
