We are looking for TWO full‑time Pharmacy Assistants to join our expanding team at Skypark in Exeter. The role involves supporting the launch of a Medicines Repacking Service across the Trust and implementing a Digital Inventory Management system to improve medicine visibility and reduce wastage.
Key Responsibilities
- Receiving and storing medicines and pharmacy stock in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures;
- Ensuring effective stock rotation;
- Picking and packing medicines into bags/pouches using the Inventory Management system and handheld scanners;
- Carrying out checking and other quality‑control processes;
- Supporting returns and disposal processes;
- Liaising with relevant pharmacy staff regarding issue resolution;
- Preparing equipment for emergency situations to meet high standards of patient care;
- Moving short‑dated stocks to larger sites to reduce wastage.
Shift Pattern
The current opening hours are Monday to Friday 07:00–16:30, with plans to extend to 18:00. Applicants should be able to work one of the following shifts each week: 07:00–15:00 or 10:00–18:00, providing flexibility for both shifts.
