We are seeking an experienced ePCR Senior Business Intelligence Developer to support the maintenance and development of the electronic Patient Clinical Records systems (ePCR) Reporting, including the ePCR databases, data flow into the databases, websites using the databases, SQL Server Reporting Services reports, PowerBI reports, ad hoc reports using various tools, and configuration & system access and permissions using the Supplier Admin Tool. This position requires specialist technical knowledge and experience to support and maintain the development of the ePCR system that meets the requirements of the organisation, and to collaborate closely with the Clinical Information & Records teams, as well as the Research and Audit teams, to ensure the effective flow of clinical data from the patient to the end user, while supporting both local and national reporting requirements of the Trust.

Responsibilities

  • Lead on the technical aspect of the electronic Patient Record systems, including writing changes to its configuration, in liaison with clinical users, the system developers and other stakeholders.
  • Create and run appropriate tests for software and configuration releases, and feed back issues found to the system suppliers.
  • Configure the care record system to ensure correct access control, and maintain effective system functionality.
  • Write and maintain the SQL Server, ETL scripts (PowerShell) that import data from the clinical system to the Trust's data warehouse.
  • Administer the Clinical Reporting databases.
  • Support the Trust's information needs through the development of web-based reporting tools.
