Are you an experienced Nurse / Paramedic looking to expand your clinical knowledge and skill‑set within the Emergency Services environment? We are currently recruiting Nurses / Paramedics with emergency or primary care triage experience to join our multi‑disciplinary clinical team within the Emergency Operations Centres (EOC). We will be recruiting to a variety of rotas, however, colleagues will be required to work a full range of shifts, including night shifts.
Our Emergency Operations Centres are composed of the following staff groups that work collaboratively to ensure patients receive the most appropriate medical intervention, guidance and support at their time of need:
- Emergency Medical Dispatchers (999 Call Takers)
- Dispatchers
- EOC Triage Clinicians
- Nurses
- Mental Health Practitioners
- Paramedics
- Specialist Practitioners
- Doctors
- ACPs
An EOC Triage Clinician provides a robust remote clinical assessment and triage of all patients and service users who contact 999. Alongside this, our clinicians work alongside our Emergency Medical Dispatchers and Dispatch colleagues to provide acute medical advice and guidance to ensure every patient receives the right care at the right time.
Within the EOC, we have a team of highly experienced Clinical Team Leaders and Senior Clinicians who are committed and dedicated to ensuring our clinical workforce has support and guidance when needed. The Trust has recently been awarded the NHS Pastoral Care Quality Award, reflecting our commitment to staff wellbeing. We provide all clinicians with access to CPD opportunities, including higher education modules, funded short courses, free CPD events and e‑Learning platforms. Depending on your career ambitions, we also offer career development opportunities either clinically or in operational leadership.
Qualifications: Applicants must have previous experience making autonomous clinical triage decisions in a rapid assessment setting. Paramedics applying must be fully signed off at Band 6 before applying.
