Overview

37.5 hours per week - vacancies available across all our inpatient ward areas including Barnsley, Wakefield, Dewsbury, Doncaster, Calderdale and Kirklees. You will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care to our service users. You will work closely with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to ensure our patients receive the best possible care.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting patients with personal care such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
  • Supporting patients with mobility and ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Helping to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Providing emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Demonstrate reliability and a strong work ethic.
  • Have a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
  • Kind and caring with a patient centred approach to success in your work.
  • Welcome band 2 healthcare support criteria; successful candidates commence in a band 2 development role with a comprehensive induction and development plan; must achieve set competencies within 12 months to progress to substantive band 3 CSW.
  • Visa sponsorship via Health and Care Worker visa route is considered only if the prorated salary meets minimum threshold of £25,000; for Band 3 roles, only full-time positions at the top of the pay scale meet this threshold; candidates must have two years recognisable service experience; sponsorship may not be possible depending on salary increment placement and working hours.
  • ID check at Folly Hall on 18 or 19 September; assessment centre day at Folly Hall on 27 September (if successful).
