The predicted salary is between 28800 - 43200 £ per year.

As a Chaplaincy assistant you will support the senior chaplains to ensure the service users needs are met through the delivery of a high-quality compassionate and caring service.

You will assist the Chaplains in providing for the pastoral, spiritual, ethical, and religious needs of service users, relatives and staff and be an active presence around the hospital and community locations in spaces designated for prayer, quiet contemplation, and worship, ward areas and communities across some locations of the Trust.

Main duties of the job

Maintain a high standard when carrying out duties allocated to you by the Senior Chaplain on duty,

You will attend the wards and community sites to provide a listening ear and support to people from diverse backgrounds of culture and religion and with those of no faith.

You will work flexibly to help maintain a consistent service across Trust sites.

You will be ecumenically sensitive and pass on referrals as appropriate to other chaplains within the department

You will be included in conversations within the chaplaincy team where spiritual care is an important issue

You will work within the protocols and practices of the Trust Pastoral and Spiritual Care Chaplaincy department and the UKBHC (UK Board of Health Care Chaplaincy)
