As a Planned Electrical Craftsperson, you'll be the go-to expert for maintaining and repairing electrical systems across our wastewater treatment sites. From pumps and motors to control panels and switchgear, you'll ensure our assets run efficiently and reliably - helping prevent environmental risks and keeping communities safe. This role offers variety, responsibility, and the chance to develop new skills in a supportive team environment.
Competitive salary: £35,777 - £42,399 per year

What you'll be doing:
- Carrying out planned maintenance and repairs on electrical equipment across multiple wastewater treatment sites
- Working with pumps, motors, panels, switchgear, and specialist process machinery
- Installing new electrical equipment to BS7671 standards
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical control systems
- Collaborating with mechanical and electrical colleagues as part of a mobile, multi-skilled team
- Maintaining high safety standards, including compliance with RAMS and IEE regulations
- Participate in standby/call-out rota
What we are looking for:
Essentials:
- 5 GCSE's (or equivalent) including Maths, English, and Science at grade C or above.
- Indentured Apprenticeship in an Electrical discipline
- Level 3 Modern Apprenticeship in an Electrical discipline
- Level 3 Electrical Engineering qualification e.g. City and Guilds, BTEC, ONC/HNC/HND
- A full UK driving licence is required
Desirables:
- City & Guilds Inspect and Test 2391-10
- Up to date with 18th Edition IEE Regulations
- CompEx 09/10
- Industrial/Commercial experience required
- Experience with VSD's, soft starts and motor control systems
- Understanding of Wiring Diagrams
- Knowledge of working with Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
- Good working knowledge of LV systems (working with 415vac down to 24vac and dc control and indication)
