We're looking for an experienced and driven OT Regulatory Maintenance Manager to lead a critical function that supports regulatory compliance, operational resilience and environmental protection across our business.

The role

In this key leadership role, you'll take responsibility for delivering high-quality planned and reactive maintenance across OT regulatory assets, ensuring they remain safe, compliant and operating effectively. You'll lead a team of skilled maintenance professionals and work closely with colleagues across Operations, Asset Management and IT to develop and deliver maintenance strategies aligned to regulatory requirements such as the Environment Act 2021 and MCERTS standards. This role plays a vital part in ensuring our remote assets are reliable, secure and performing to the standards our customers and regulators expect.

What you'll be doing

  • Leading, developing and supporting a team (4 direct reports, ~30 indirect)
  • Delivering effective and resilient planned and reactive maintenance of ICA and OT regulatory assets
  • Promoting a strong health, safety and wellbeing culture - ensuring everyone goes Home Safe
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory standards (e.g. Environment Agency, MCERTS, CDM)
  • Delivering maintenance programmes for: Event Duration Monitoring (EDM) MCERTS instrumentation
  • Developing and embedding maintenance strategies to improve asset reliability and reduce reactive interventions
  • Working collaboratively with Operations, Asset Management, IT, Security and Regulatory teams
  • Using data to optimise work planning, costs and resource allocation
  • Managing operational and capital budgets in line with business targets
  • Supporting representation in industry groups and technical forums
  • Driving performance, continuous improvement and capability development across the team

What we're looking for

You'll be a confident people leader with strong technical expertise and experience in a regulated or critical infrastructure environment. You'll bring:

  • Strong experience in OT / ICA regulatory maintenance
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations and MCERTS standards
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams
  • Experience managing budgets and delivering operational programmes
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Experience improving asset performance, reliability and compliance

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant discipline
  • Recognised management qualification
  • NEBOSH or IOSH Health & Safety qualification

Desirable:

  • Membership of a professional body (e.g. IET, SWIG)
  • Project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2)
  • Experience working with EDM, SLM and MCERTS equipment
