Great new opportunity for a Regulatory Finance Analyst to join our team in Exeter or Bristol with a salary of £35,000 - £42,000 plus benefits.

The role involves supporting the Regulatory Finance Accountant in delivering regulatory reporting for the Pennon Group. This includes working closely with the Finance team to ensure consistency between statutory and regulatory reports and providing expertise in Water Regulatory matters to support strategic and operational decisions. The role offers the chance to collaborate with senior management and the wider business, building trust, ensuring robust controls, and supporting regulatory financial reporting processes. You will handle external financial and regulatory reporting and foster strong relationships across Finance and the broader organization.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting the monthly Regulatory Finance performance report
  • Assisting with the delivery of the Annual Performance Report for three regions, including managing data platforms and approval software
  • Engaging with stakeholders such as auditors, regulators, and senior management regarding reporting requirements
  • Managing the collation, monitoring, and auditing of Financial Control Operating Requirements
  • Analyzing new regulatory guidance, control reviews, and change initiatives
  • Conducting ad hoc analyses for regulatory submissions and shareholder requirements
  • Contributing to the Price Review Programme to influence Ofwat policy and optimize outcomes
  • Managing Price Review tables for three regions, ensuring data accuracy and communication
  • Monitoring and communicating the company’s performance against Final Determinations

What we’re looking for:

  • Degree-level education or equivalent experience; ideally ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or AAT Level 4
  • Experience in a regulatory environment
  • Ability to work within cross-functional teams
  • Experience in improving financial procedures and controls
  • Strong presentation and business case development skills
  • Effective communication and influencing skills
  • Solid knowledge of financial reporting and accuracy in financial data
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
