Integration Platforms & Delivery Lead. Shape the digital backbone of critical water infrastructure.

Location: Bristol HQ or Exeter HQ

Security Clearance: SC eligible

Salary: £70,000 – £90,000 (dependent on experience)

Purpose of the Role

As Integration Engineering Manager, you will lead the delivery and ongoing evolution of our enterprise integration capability, ensuring systems, platforms, applications and third-party services connect securely, reliably and effectively. You will own the integration roadmap, lead delivery teams and partners, govern integration standards, and ensure critical data and event flows support everything from real-time operations to regulatory reporting and customer outcomes, while strengthening operational performance, business change and long-term platform resilience. This is a role for a leader who can cut through complexity, stabilise legacy estates and build a modern integration capability fit for the future of the water sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • A clear, outcome-led integration strategy and roadmap spanning APIs, events, batch, OT/IT integration, and legacy platforms
  • End-to-end delivery of integration change—predictable, high quality, and aligned to real business value
  • Governance and optimisation of platforms such as MuleSoft, BizTalk, SSIS, FME and specialist tooling
  • A prioritised integration backlog, balancing regulatory commitments, operational resilience, and transformation
  • The integrity, movement, and quality of operational data across systems outside the enterprise data platform
  • Integration of IoT, telemetry, and SCADA data, enabling near-real-time operational insight

Why This Role Is Different

  • You won’t just deliver projects—you’ll own the integration capability end-to-end
  • You’ll directly support operational performance, regulatory compliance, and environmental outcomes
  • You’ll bridge IT, OT, and Data Engineering, bringing clarity to data ownership, flow, and quality
  • You’ll lead through real-world complexity—legacy estates, multiple partners, and critical infrastructure

Experience Required

  • A proven leader who has owned enterprise integration in a complex, multi-system environment (utilities, infrastructure, or similarly regulated sectors preferred)
  • Strong track record delivering across strategy → build → live service → optimisation
  • Experience managing mixed legacy and modern integration estates, including transformation
  • Confidence leading multi-team, multi-supplier delivery models
  • Strong grasp of integration architecture, governance, and operational data management
  • Ability to make clear prioritisation and investment decisions under pressure

Qualifications

  • Degree-level education.
  • Professional qualification or accreditation in delivery, product, or programme management (e.g. Agile, Scrum, SAFe, PRINCE2, MSP).
