We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Document Controller to support the successful delivery of the SRO programme - a major infrastructure programme. As a key member of the programme team, you will play a critical role in ensuring project information, documentation, and governance processes are managed to the highest standards.
This is an opportunity to work at the heart of a complex, high-profile project, collaborating with programme leadership, technical specialists, contractors, consultants, and key stakeholders to ensure information flows efficiently, accurately, and compliantly throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure documents are correctly uploaded, classified, version controlled, and compliant with project standards.
- Manage project documentation within Autodesk Forma (previously Autodesk Construction Cloud) and other document management systems.
- Coordinate document reviews, approvals, workflows, transmittals, and stakeholder submissions.
- Monitor workflow progress and proactively resolve documentation issues.
- Prepare, compile, and distribute project reports, drawings, and technical documentation.
- Support the continuous improvement of document control and information management processes.
- Provide administrative support to programme leadership, including diary management, meeting coordination, and minute-taking.
- Maintain accurate records and audit trails to support governance, compliance, and quality standards.
Essential
- Proven experience as a Document Controller, Technical Administrator, or similar role within construction, engineering, infrastructure, or major project environments.
- Strong document management and information control experience.
- Excellent organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications and SharePoint.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within a fast-paced project environment.
- Minimum of five GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths.
Desirable
- Experience working on major capital projects within utilities, water, civil engineering, or regulated environments.
- Hands-on experience with Autodesk Forma (previously Autodesk Construction Cloud), Aconex, ProjectWise, Viewpoint, or similar Common Data Environment platforms.
- Understanding of ISO 19650 information management principles.
- Experience working with technical drawings, specifications, and contract documentation.
- Degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification in Business Administration, Engineering, Information Management, or a related discipline.
- Professional certification in Document Control, Information Management, or Autodesk Forma (previously Autodesk Construction Cloud).
