We\’re currently recruiting for a JetVac LGV Driver to join our team in Bideford. Joining us on a full-time basis, you will receive a competitive salary of £29,091 per annum.
About the role
As the JetVac LGV Driver you will support the Sewage Pumping Stations Operational Teams in the day to day operation and maintenance of the Waste Water Pump Station assets within the area.
What you’ll be doing:
- You will be supporting the SPS Operations teams in the first line maintenance of Sewage Pumping Stations (SPS) and associated assets to achieve the required performance and Company targets, i.e. Energy, Bathing Water Compliance, Pollution\’s, Odour contacts
- Completion of proactive SPS cleansing interventions using internal JetVac capability to Minimise Pollution\’s from SPS to ensure a Pure Environment is maintained
- Responsible for ensuring Health and Safety legal requirements are met and demonstrating a quantifiable improvement in Health and Safety culture, this includes regular review and feedback to facilitate updates to activity TSI, site risk assessments and related documentation
- Ensure all JetVac Operations are correctly and safely carried out and ensure safety of those around you
- Adherence to schedules, business rules and procedures and liaise effectively with the Field Support Centres (FSCs) and Maintenance team to ensure asset operations are achieved
- Ensure LGV JetVac unit is correctly maintained and in date for test on every occasion it’s deployed. Bring any issues to the attention of the Sewage Pumping Station Manager
- Has a clear understanding of New Roads & Streetworks Act to ensure safe working on the highway
- Follow company hygiene procedure / ensure the filling of JetVac units is in accordance with SWW procedures (with appropriate backflow prevention as required so as to comply with ‘Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999’) from designated filling points only
- If required provide support to the WWS Planned Maintenance Team LGV HIAB Operation / wider operational business during Event / Incident scenarios (additional training will be provided as necessary)
- Compliance with Quality Management Systems and other Company procedures
What we are looking for:
- Minimum of 3 GCSE’s grade A-C, including English, Mathematics & Science
- LGV Licence Cat C (HGV Class 2)
- Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) and a current digital tachograph driver card desirable
- Previous Tanker / JetVac experience with preferably experience in high pressure jetting desirable
- Knowledge of Goods Vehicle Operator Licensing
- Ability to work flexibly, according to business requirements
