South West Tool Hire Company Ltd is looking for a motivated, organised and enthusiastic Rehire Desk Operative to join our busy team.
We are seeking someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has excellent communication skills and can confidently manage multiple enquiries while delivering outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing daily rehire enquiries and sourcing equipment from external suppliers.
- Obtaining competitive hire rates and negotiating with suppliers.
- Coordinating equipment deliveries, collections and off-hires.
- Liaising with customers, suppliers and internal departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitoring ongoing hires and chasing outstanding off-hires.
- Handling equipment breakdowns and resolving hire-related issues efficiently.
- Processing hire orders and maintaining accurate records on our hire management system.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
- Ensuring all enquiries are dealt with promptly and professionally.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience within the plant and tool hire industry is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise workloads under pressure.
- A proactive attitude with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Confident telephone manner and good computer skills.
- A reliable team player who can also work independently.
- Experience using Syrinx hire management software would be advantageous.
