We are recruiting for a long established Engineering company who require a CNC Pre-kit and Stores Controller to support a busy CNC Workshop. If the following job requirements and experience match your skills, please ensure you apply promptly.
Weekly hours: Monday - Thursday 7:30am - 4:30pm & Friday 7:30am - 12:30pm (39 basic)
Salary: Β£14 per hour (Β£28,392pa)
Responsibilities:
- Keeping control and detailed records of all tools and fixtures used in production while in the stores.
- Issuing of specific tools to the machine shops as required for production.
- Recording and storing in the correct location the tools upon their return to the stores.
- Negotiating with suppliers and ordering tools when required.
- Keeping all records correct and up to date.
Key Skills and Experience:
Essential:
- A "can-do" approach to work.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- You will have a reasonable understanding of the various types of cutting tools used in CNC machining.
- Proficient in the use of a computer with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Team Player.
- Suit someone with Engineering experience or an ex-machinist.
Desirable:
- Detailed knowledge of working with MRP and Microsoft products.
- Some basic assembly skills and engineering knowledge.
- Experience of daily target driven culture.
- Working in an environment with different competing priorities.
