We are seeking multiple Electronic Assembly Operators to join our production team on a fixed-term basis for 6 months, with the potential for a permanent position. This role is integral to the manufacture of high-quality products for the meteorological and commercial weather measurement markets. Contract Type: 6-month fixed term (potential for temp-to-perm). There is also the possibility of the position becoming permanent after 5 months for the right candidate.

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:00 am - 3:45 pm; Friday, 7:00 am - 11:30 am.

Starting Salary: £24,800 (increasing to £25,100 upon successful completion of a 6-month probation period).

Responsibilities: As an Assembly Operator, you will play a key role in ensuring the production of high-quality products. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assembling products using hand tools and assembly jigs.
  • Conducting testing to specified parameters and recording results on works orders/lot cards.
  • Identifying and recording non-conforming products.
  • Performing quality inspections on your own work.
  • Maintaining bench stock items and inspecting bench tools and manufacturing aids.
  • Utilizing in-house PC systems for production processes.
  • Adhering to standard construction and build times.

Qualifications: We are looking for candidates who possess the following:

Additional advantageous experience includes:

  • Soldering and wiring experience.
  • Previous electromechanical assembly experience using work instructions.
  • Familiarity with test equipment.
  • PC literacy with general numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Experience with manual handling.
  • Knowledge of ISO9001 standards, including ATEX and CSA procedures.

  • Assembling and testing products to meet high-quality standards.
  • Recording and maintaining accurate production data.
  • Inspecting your work to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.
