We are recruiting for an ongoing Temporary Deburrer to join a well-established and respected precision engineering manufacturer based in Ferndown, Dorset.
The Role
As a Deburrer, you will be responsible for ensuring precision machined components are finished to the required specification before progressing to the next stage of production. Your duties will include:
- Deburring precision machined components using a variety of hand and power tools.
- Removing sharp edges, burrs and surface imperfections to exact standards.
- Working from engineering drawings and manufacturing instructions.
- Carrying out visual inspections to ensure components meet quality requirements.
- Handling a variety of metal components safely and efficiently.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Working closely with the machining and quality teams to ensure production deadlines are achieved.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience in a deburring, fettling or finishing role within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (advantageous).
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Good manual dexterity and experience using hand tools.
- A positive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A reliable and flexible approach to work.
