Overview

We are recruiting for a SAP Admin Assistant for a long established manufacturer in Lymington, Hampshire.

Hours: full-time Mon-Fri 08:00-16:00 with a half hour unpaid break. Salary: up to £30,000 per annum depending on experience. Duration: initial 9-month contract with potential extension.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare production plans and highlight bottlenecks or capacity constraints; communicate shortages throughout the business.
  • Problem-solve demand vs capacity issues and monitor production to assess the impact of delays on customers.
  • Translate demand into achievable production plans using SAP and OpsCentre.
  • Communicate with customer service to ensure OTIF is maintained at agreed levels.
  • Amend plans based on material/resource availability and production issues.
  • Create purchase orders for raw materials in alignment with system parameters and analysis.
  • Use SAP and MRP to manage inventory levels of raw materials and packaging, in line with sourcing and operational guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Central Sourcing on supplier information, estimated demands, and new materials/suppliers.
  • Establish and maintain good relationships with suppliers.

Minimum Requirements

  • Confident SAP user.
  • Experience in a purchasing, production planning or materials management role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of Operational, Supply Chain and Distribution Processes.
  • Experience working with a supplier base.
  • Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good team worker; ability to organise workload, determine priorities and establish and monitor deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail. Decision-making directly impacts customer service and company revenue.
