We are recruiting for a Production Stores Person for a long established manufacturer in Lymington, Hampshire.

Hours:

  • Mix department: Mon-Thurs 08:00-16:00, Fri 08:00-13:00
  • Extrusion department: Week 1 Mon - Thurs 06:00-14:00, Fri 06:00-11:00; Week 2 Mon - Thurs 14:00-22:00, Fri 11:00 - 16:00 (or starting on 2pm-10pm depending on Rota)

Salary: £13.58 per hour

Duration: This position is initially a 7 month contract but may become permanent depending on performance.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Production Stores Person reports to Department Manager (Mix or Extrusion) and has sole responsibility for the accurate and timely receipt of kits for production from the goods in Kitting Team. The operative is responsible for ensuring the supplied materials meet the Production order requirement and where this is not the situation due to the wrong quantity, material, quality or any combination of the 3, will raise an NCR for the complaint and communicate with the goods in Team to rectify the error, both physically and via the system.

PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Have sole responsibility for maintaining the integrity of all the kits on the extruder floor and in the Mix area and will be the point of contact for any request of additional materials requested by the extrusion or Mix Field expert.
  • Record the required additional material and the reason for this request.
  • Process the SAP transaction for the additional material if it is due to wastage caused by machine running issues or processing issues.
  • Investigate any material variance issues at the end of each production week, generating a report and corrective actions.
  • Work with the Field experts to ensure all SAP transactions / booking are performed to the expected standard for each production order.
  • This individual will be involved in a variety of SAP / Operations compliance activities including:
  • Acceptance of Kits
  • Inspection of kits to meet Production order.
  • Issuing kits to production from the staging area.
  • Booking and investigation into additional materials.
  • Investigation into variances.
  • Ensuring all SAP and operation transactions are completed with full compliance.
  • Leading Weekly / Monthly stock takes / cycle counts in the designated Production area.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • A minimum of 5 years working in a fast-paced production environment with SAP.
  • Stores and SAP expertise.
  • Good analytical mindset and Problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent Teamworking Approach.
  • Great communication skills - Fluent in English both written and oral.
  • The role requires the staging Operative to be dynamic and will be on their feet for 70% of the working day.
