We are recruiting for a Planning & Buying Administrator for a long-established manufacturer in Lymington, Hampshire.

Hours:

This is a full-time role, Mon-Fri 08:00-16:00, with a half-hour unpaid break.

Salary:

Up to £30,000 per annum depending on experience.

Duration:

This position is initially a 9-month contract, with potential for extension.

Position Overview:

The Purchasing and Planning Administrator will assist in purchasing and scheduling raw materials and create production plans that meet customer requirements and adhere to inventory policies.

Primary Duties:

  1. Prepare production plans.
  2. Highlight bottlenecks or capacity constraints and communicate shortages.
  3. Solve demand versus capacity issues.
  4. Monitor production and assess delays\’ effects on customers.
  5. Use SAP and OpsCentre to translate demand into achievable production plans.
  6. Communicate with customer service to maintain OTIF levels.
  7. Amend plans based on material/resource availability and production issues.
  8. Create purchase orders for raw materials aligned with system parameters.
  9. Manage inventory levels using SAP and MRP, in line with sourcing and operational guidelines.
  10. Collaborate with Central Sourcing on supplier information and new materials.
  11. Maintain good relationships with suppliers.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Confident SAP user.
  • Experience in purchasing, production planning, or materials management in manufacturing.
  • Understanding of operational, supply chain, and distribution processes.
  • Experience working with suppliers.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good team player.
  • Organizational skills to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail, as decisions impact customer service and revenue.
