We are seeking multiple Electronic Assembly Operators to join our production team on a fixed-term basis for 6 months, with the potential for a permanent position. This role is integral to the manufacture of high-quality products for the meteorological and commercial weather measurement markets. Contract Type: 6-month fixed term (potential for temp-to-perm). There is also the possibility of the position becoming permanent after 5 months for the right candidate.
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:00 am - 3:45 pm; Friday, 7:00 am - 11:30 am.
Starting Salary: £24,800 (increasing to £25,100 upon successful completion of a 6-month probation period).
Responsibilities:
- Assembling products using hand tools and assembly jigs.
- Conducting testing to specified parameters and recording results on works orders/lot cards.
- Identifying and recording non-conforming products.
- Performing quality inspections on your own work.
- Maintaining bench stock items and inspecting bench tools and manufacturing aids.
- Utilizing in-house PC systems for production processes.
- Adhering to standard construction and build times.
Qualifications:
- Excellent dexterity and attention to detail.
- A strong sense of pride in producing high-quality work.
- Self-motivation, organization, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Additional advantageous experience includes:
- Soldering and wiring experience.
- Previous electromechanical assembly experience using work instructions.
- Familiarity with test equipment.
- PC literacy with general numeracy and literacy skills.
- Experience with manual handling.
- Knowledge of ISO9001 standards, including ATEX and CSA procedures.

- Recording and maintaining accurate production data.
