We are recruiting for a multi skilled Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance Engineer for a national recycling company. You can be bias towards either Mechanical or Electrical maintenance but have a good understanding of both. Working within the engineering team you will need to be comfortable with your mechanical and electrical skills to undertake working alone from time to time. The plant is currently undergoing investment and expansion.

Hours: Monday to Friday 6am to 2pm, working 40 hours a week / 9 hours a day with a 1 in 3 call out rota.

Salary £46,800 plus Dartford Crossing is covered, Pension, 33 days holiday and excellent overtime. Overtime rate is paid x1.5 after 45 hours and Saturdays and x2 on Sundays.

Role and Responsibilities of a Maintenance Engineer:

  • PPM & Reactive maintenance
  • Undertake machine start-up, working closely with the production and hygiene team.
  • Manage and Own the plant CMMS System
  • Machine adjustments to optimise machine performance.
  • To undertake fault diagnosis & implement corrective actions to minimise machine downtime.
  • To communicate machine status & performance across shift teams to ensure effective handovers.
  • Look at CI methods and ways to improve plant performance.

Qualifications Required:

  • Level 3 Engineering qualification (preferably in a manufacturing environment)
  • Engineering/Technical background
  • Manufacturing industry experience
