We are recruiting for a permanent Industrial Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical) to work at a long established manufacturer based in Poole.

Salary: Starting Salary is £46,000 depending on qualifications and experience (including shift allowance). This salary will rise to £52,300 per annum once progression levels are complete.

Benefits: Company Pension, 21 Days Holiday plus Bank Holidays, Overtime at x 1.5.

Overview:

  • The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance.
  • Maintain Records of Machine Running Hours.
  • Attend to Machine Breakdowns and Ensure Continuity of Production.
  • Assist Electrician as Required.
  • Assist On Tool Changes as Required.
  • Liase with Shift Supervisor to Prioritise Work Load.
  • Complete Sign Off Forms for Each Task.
  • Work in a Safe and Tidy Manner.

Mechanical Engineer Requirements:

  • Completed Apprenticeship.
  • Pneumatics Understanding and Experience.
  • A Formal Qualification (City & Guilds).
  • Welding Experience.
  • Ability to Problem Solve.
  • Should be a Team Player.

The shift pattern will start on standard 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday to allow for the training period then will move onto (2 weeks of days and 2 weeks of nights):

  • Week 1 (Days 6am- 6pm): Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
  • Week 2 (Days 6am- 6pm): Wednesday, Thursday.
  • Week 3 (Nights 6pm- 6am): Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
  • Week 4 (Nights 6pm- 6am): Wednesday, Thursday.

Then revert back to week 1. Sunday is counted as the first day of the week so you are paid 48 hours in the first week and 36 in the second.
