We are looking for an enthusiastic, practical and technically minded individual to join our production team as a Trainee Production Mould Machine Technician. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys understanding how machinery works and is looking to build a long-term career within a specialist cable manufacturing company. Full training will be provided, making this role ideal for someone who is switched on, eager to learn and keen to develop valuable engineering and manufacturing skills.
Working alongside experienced technicians, you will learn how to set up and programme specialist moulding machines, maintain production equipment and help ensure our manufacturing processes run safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
What you will be learning:
- Setting up moulding machines ready for production
- Programming machinery for different products
- Servicing and maintaining production equipment
- Diagnosing and repairing machine faults
- Setting up and calibrating tooling and applicators
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings
- Recording maintenance work and machine repairs
- Carrying out preventative maintenance
- Supporting continuous improvements in safety, quality and production efficiency
- Assisting with product assembly when required
- Developing the skills to train production operators on routine machine servicing
