A prestigious Aerospace company is looking for a Senior Estimator to join their busy and expanding engineering facility.
Responsibilities of the Aerospace Engineering Estimator:
- Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the successful Engineer will work as part of a small team in a fast-paced environment liaising closely with our Customers, our production Department and sub-contract suppliers on all aspects from the supply of raw materials, machining, assembly and surface treatments of Aerospace components.
- Must be able to produce detailed process sketches and technique sheets to aid manufacture if required.
- The Aerospace Engineering Estimator must communicate effectively with design and quality related disciplines to drive and resolve issues promptly to the benefit of the company.
- Familiar with costing processes and compiling costs and quotations in a structured manner for customers.
- An appreciation and knowledge of Aerospace related materials and procurement processes is essential.
- Knowledge of Aerospace Estimating and customer specific quality and specifications is necessary.
- An understanding of Heat treatment processing.
- Knowledge of finishing treatments and processing is essential to determine allowances for machining.
Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday 7.30am - 4.30pm & Friday 7.30am - 12.30pm (39 hours)
Salary: circa Β£55k per annum depending on experience
25 days paid holiday per year plus paid bank holiday, pension and Life assurance.
