Join a growing and dynamic team at a leading producer of cooking wine and unique ingredients for chefs. We are seeking a dedicated Production Technician / Machine Operative to support our manufacturing operations. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth running of our production line and maintaining the high-quality standards our customers expect. Primary Function
The main responsibility of this position is to complete cleaning tasks and stack pallets on the production line. The successful candidate must be able to lift up to 15kg continuously throughout the shift.
Pay Rate Β£12.21 per hour
Hours Monday - Friday, 07:00 - 16:00 (8 hours paid with two 30-minute unpaid breaks)
Responsibilities
- Perform all production tasks, including food preparation, blending, packaging, and presenting finished goods to the warehouse.
- Maintain cleanliness of machinery and work areas to company standards.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain an "audit-ready" mindset.
- Accurately record data and interpret production schedules.
- Proactively fault-find and resolve technical issues.
- Work collaboratively with the team to meet and exceed departmental KPIs.
- Undertake any training required to support business goals and values.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends during peak times.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food manufacturing is highly desirable.
- A good understanding of food safety regulations.
- Technically minded with the ability to fault-find and resolve issues.
- Reliable, self-disciplined, and a strong team player.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Own transport is required due to the location and shift timings.
Day-to-Day
- Complete cleaning tasks and stack pallets on the production line.
- Lift up to 15kg continuously throughout the shift.
