We are recruiting for an experienced Mould Shop Manager for a leading manufacturer of cabling systems. The products manufactured encompass various engineering sectors including the automotive and defense markets.
The Mould Shop Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the mould shop within our manufacturing shop floor. This role involves managing the team, ensuring the efficient production of high-quality moulds, and maintaining adherence to safety, quality, and production standards. The Mould Shop Manager will collaborate with various departments to meet production targets and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Salary: This position comes with a competitive market related salary and benefits package.
Hours: Monday to Thursday 8.00am - 4.30pm (Friday finish at 1.30pm)

Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Team Management: Supervise, train, and develop mould shop personnel, including toolmakers, machinists, and technicians. Ensure that team members are properly trained and adhere to safety protocols. Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Coordinate with the design and engineering teams to ensure moulds are manufactured to specification.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a mould shop environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of moulding processes, materials, and equipment, ideally in the electronics and electrical engineering sector but other sectors are considered.
- Proven experience in implementing and managing quality control processes.
