We are recruiting for permanent Dairy Farm Labourers for our client near Dorchester.

The role involves looking after young calves on a farm, so experience working outdoors in an agricultural environment with animal welfare knowledge is desirable. PPE will be provided.

The main responsibilities include milking cows, general labouring, washing huts, bedding up, cleaning, disinfecting, and other duties around the site.

Subsidised transport and accommodation are available for committed workers following a successful probationary period.

Immediate start available for suitable applicants.

Having a full driving licence is desirable but not essential.

Hours of work:

Various shifts are available:

  • Day Shift: 4am – 10am, followed by a 2-hour break, then 10am – 6pm (approximately 40 hours per week). Workers can choose to work 3 to 4 days and then take time off.
  • Night Shift: 7pm – 3am (approximately 40 hours per week).

The shift pattern for full-time staff is Monday to Sunday on a rota, with two to three days off each week. There are two 1-hour unpaid breaks during the 12-hour shift.

The rate of pay is £12.25 per hour, with potential increases as skills improve. After a successful 3-month probation, the hourly rate will increase to £12.50.

Additional hours up to 55-60 hours per week are available, offering great opportunities to save due to low accommodation and travel costs.
