CNC Turner required for a leading Valve Manufacturing Company, located near Wimborne, Dorset. The company are looking for someone to join their team of experienced machinists, within their CNC Turning section. They are seeking a skilled CNC Turner Operator with experience in operating single spindle/driven tooling machines. The ideal candidate will have the ability to edit programs directly on the machine and work efficiently with short production batches.
Hours: Full-time - 39 hrs per week, 6am to 6.10pm Monday to Wednesday and 6am to 11am on Thursday. Occasional Overtime available at x1.3 of basic rate.
Salary: up to £17 per hour depending on experience and skill level.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC turning machines with single spindle/driven tooling capabilities.
- Program editing directly on the machine as needed.
- Produce high-quality components according to specifications.
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as necessary.
- Perform quality checks to ensure parts meet required standards.
- Work efficiently with short production batches to meet deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a CNC Turner Operator, specifically with single spindle/driven tooling machines.
- Ability to edit programs on the machine.
- Strong understanding of machining processes and tooling.
- Knowledge of G-code programming.
- Experience working with short production batches.
- Attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
