We are recruiting for a Permanent Solderer to join a long-established electronics manufacturer based in Blandford Forum, Dorset. This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly and growing production team manufacturing high-quality electronic assemblies. We welcome applications from candidates with any level of PCB or cable soldering experience, whether you’ve recently gained your skills or have many years of experience.
The Role
Working within a busy production environment, you will be responsible for producing high-quality electronic assemblies to customer specifications. Your duties will include:
- Soldering printed circuit boards (PCBs) and/or cable assemblies.
- Working from engineering drawings, wiring diagrams and work instructions.
- Carrying out through-hole soldering and cable termination.
- Inspecting your own work to ensure high quality standards are maintained.
- Assembling electronic components and sub-assemblies.
- Identifying and reporting any quality issues.
- Working closely with colleagues to achieve production targets.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who has:
- Previous PCB or cable soldering experience at any level.
- Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- The ability to follow engineering drawings or assembly instructions.
- A commitment to producing high-quality work.
- A reliable and positive attitude.
- The ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a production team.
- IPC certification would be advantageous but is not essential.
