The Company are a leading company in designing, manufacturing, and supplying high-performance sensors globally, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Stores Technician to join our team. The Stores Technician will be responsible for managing the receipt, inspection, and handling of goods in the stores department, ensuring compliance with quality standards and stock control.
Hours: 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday (early finish Friday on rotation)
Salary: up to Β£25,000 per annum depending on experience. Once training is complete the salary will rise to Β£27,200 per annum.
Responsibilities of the Stores Technician:
- Receive, book, and inspect goods
- Ensure compliance with quality standards
- Correctly label and store goods
- Pick kits and issue materials
- Pack and label finished goods
- Control inventory and rotate stock
- Dispatch finished items promptly
- Prepare export documentation
- Maintain accurate stock levels
- Provide cover in any store location within the business
- Adhere to operational procedures, rules, and schedules
Qualifications:
- General numeracy and literacy skills
- Proficiency in PC applications (Word, Excel, MRP systems, etc.)
- Manual handling experience
- Organized and self-motivated
- Strong communication skills
- Flexibility and adaptability
- Attention to detail
- Previous stores experience
- Familiarity with inspection equipment
- Full and valid UK driving license
- Forklift experience is desirable but not essential.
Day-to-day: The Stores Technician will be responsible for managing the receipt, inspection, and handling of goods in the stores department, ensuring compliance with quality standards and stock control.
