£12.76 per hour (equivalent to £26,546.33 annual salary pro rata). 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, AM and PM school runs. Norse Transport Division is seeking an experienced Passenger Assistant to work in our depot in Dereham. Work alongside the Minibus Driver to transport vulnerable children and adults to and from their destinations, supporting wellbeing and ensuring a successful journey.
Role
- Responsible for supporting vulnerable children and adults throughout their journey.
- Build relationships with clients.
- Physical tasks include lifting wheelchairs and securing items with ratchet straps.
Responsibilities
- Transport vulnerable children and adults to/from their destinations.
- Provide a caring, tailored service.
- Support clients’ wellbeing.
- Operate the minibus and secure items safely.
- Assist with weighty items, such as wheelchairs.
Qualifications
- Good geographical knowledge of the local area.
- Ability to carry out physical work.
- Previous experience in a care‑based role.
- Supportive and caring attitude.
- Capability to work as part of a team.
