Norse Group's HR department has an excellent opportunity for an HR Advisor to join our team at our Head Office in Norwich. Whether you are looking for a new challenge, aspire to move up to the next level or are already an HR Advisor looking for a change, this could be a great opportunity for you to gain generalist HR experience in a large organisation and progress your career in Human Resources.
This role sits within the Employee Relations team as part of HR Shared Services. It is a busy, varied role supporting different stakeholders with a variety of employee relations matters. Support and mentoring will be put in place to ensure you can reach your full potential.
This position is being offered on a full-time permanent contract, working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday; however, other working patterns and hours would be considered.
The RoleAs a HR Advisor, you will be working as part of an effective Employee Relations team, delivering outstanding HR advice and support across the Group to support the Norse Group's core values. As part of this you will:
- Provide proactive HR advice and guidance to managers covering a variety of employment topics.
- Support managers with employee relations matters such as disciplinary matters, grievances, and performance management.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and review of HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with employment law.
- Manage and support with sickness cases.
- Support managers with first line support around all Employee Relations matters.
We are looking for you to have previous experience and knowledge as follows:
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to have discussions at all levels.
- Ability to form and maintain effective working relationships with all areas of the business.
- Either currently working towards a CIPD Qualification, or a willingness to undertake this qualification.
- An understanding of HR functions and systems.
- Desirable to have previous experience working in a role within HR.
