Norse Group has an exciting new opportunity for a Business Process Analyst to join the Finance Team on a full time, permanent basis working 37 hours per week. This role will be based onsite at our Norse Group Head Office - Unity Place, Fifers Lane, Norwich. Reporting directly to the CFO, the Business Process Analyst will lead the analysis, enhancement, and redesign of key business processes to improve financial control, governance, and operational performance. The role is instrumental in supporting finance optimisation, embedding best‑practice processes, and ensuring all activities are aligned with strategic and financial objectives.
Main Responsibilities
- Analyse existing business processes and data across finance operations and identify inefficiencies, control gaps, and risks within financial processes.
- Map workflows using suitable tools.
- Document end‑to‑end processes including financial impacts.
- Design improved ('to‑be') processes with strong financial controls embedded.
- Drive automation and standardisation of finance processes (e.g., P2P, O2C, R2R).
- Improve reporting accuracy, close cycles, and working capital processes.
- Apply Lean / Six Sigma / continuous improvement methodologies.
- Ensure processes comply with accounting standards.
- Strengthen internal controls and audit readiness, working closely with internal and external auditors on process design and improvements.
- Partner with Finance, Operations, MIS, and IT teams to gather requirements.
- Translate finance and business needs into process and system solutions.
- Define KPIs related to efficiency, cost, and financial accuracy.
- Work with the MIS team to develop dashboards (Power BI) to monitor process performance.
- Support financial and system implementation projects.
- Develop training materials and support change adoption which ensure smooth transition to new processes with minimal disruption.
Our Successful Candidate
You will bring a combination of strong financial accounting knowledge with advanced technical skills including data and reporting tools (Power BI). Alongside this you will demonstrate:
- Sound financial experience Finance (e.g., Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Audit)
- Proven business process improvement experience.
- Lean Six Sigma or process improvement certification.
- Business Analysis certification.
- Extensive experience overseeing financial transformation or shared services environments.
