This role is critical in ensuring that all products meet national, international, and customer-specific requirements before delivery. Working closely with production and operational teams, you will help maintain the highest quality standards whilst supporting a culture of continuous improvement, open communication, and operational excellence.
About the Role
South West Metal Finishing is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Inspector to join our quality team.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with customer specifications, company procedures, and industry standards.
- Conduct pre-inspection of incoming orders before release to production.
- Work with Value Stream Managers to prioritise inspection activities in line with production and delivery schedules.
- Complete all inspection and quality documentation accurately and on time.
- Perform calibration and verification checks on inspection equipment.
- Raise and manage internal non-conformances.
- Review and approve Certificates of Conformity.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve procedures and work instructions.
- Attend departmental SQDCP meetings and contribute to quality discussions.
- Liaise professionally with customers and suppliers to resolve quality-related issues.
- Work collaboratively with Engineering, Production, Planning, Sales, Logistics and EHS teams.
- Assist in developing and improving inspection areas and quality processes.
