The South West International Development Network (SWIDN) is the membership network bringing together people and organisations from the South West who are working to tackle global injustice. We have over 100 members and a wider community of 5000 people working in international development.

The role of Treasurer will help shape our next stage of growth. With over 500 charities across the region, your role would support local organisations with a global impact. You would play a vital part in strengthening our resilience, building sustainable finances, and ensuring our UK Government grant delivers maximum value and support to international civil society in the South West.
What are we looking for?
We want to increase the diversity of our leadership and particularly welcome applications from people with lived experience from a country considered as ‘lower income’, people identifying as from the Global Majority, and people from diverse socioeconomic and education backgrounds. We are also looking for any 1 of the following experiences
- Grant management
- Micro and small charities
- Understanding of international development

What will you be doing?
We’re seeking a Volunteer Treasurer to provide strategic financial oversight for our micro charity, helping ensure strong governance and long-term sustainability. We’re looking for support for the wider Board by monitoring finances, advising on budgets and risks, and meeting basic reporting requirements. This role is crucial your insight will directly shape confident decision-making and maximise our impact. In a small charity, your contribution is immediate, visible, and will be essential to everything we do.
