The South West Heritage Trust (SWHT) invites proposals from experienced Conservation Architect‑Led Design Team consultants with a strong track record in working on major National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) projects to lead, manage and contract administer the delivery of capital works at the Museum of Somerset in Taunton (RIBA stages 4-7). The work is part of the Trust’s Chew Valley Hoard project, which will create a new gallery at the Museum of Somerset for the permanent display of the Chew Valley Hoard and deliver an ambitious two‑year public programme that will engage audiences in innovative and diverse ways, develop skills and improve organisational sustainability.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage and contract administer the delivery of capital works at the Museum of Somerset for RIBA stages 4-7.
  • Take RIBA Stage 3 designs that are already approved into detailed technical design and construction.
  • Ensure the listed building consent remains compliant with all conditions (none to discharge).

Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Conservation Architect‑Led Design Team consultant.
  • Strong track record on major NLHF projects.
