A long-established humanitarian and environmental charity is seeking a qualified and proactive Financial Controller to join its small, dedicated finance team.
Reporting to the Finance Director, you will play a key role in strengthening financial processes, improving reporting, and supporting senior leadership with timely, accurate management information.
Key responsibilities include:
- Financial support for operational teams
- Process and controls improvement across the finance function
- Balance sheet reconciliations and core accounting duties
- Assisting with management accounts and statutory accounts for multiple entities
- Preparing statutory returns (HMRC, Charity Commission, etc.)
- Manage one member of staff
What you'll need to succeed:
You will be a fully qualified accountant and enjoy a hands-on, detail-focused role. You will enjoy working collaboratively and using your initiative to improve systems and processes. The role is reporting to the Finance Director, who is very supportive but who also offers independence.
