Hours: 37 hours per week (full-time)

Contract: Permanent

Location: Family Action Head Office, London N1 7GR. Our office space is wheelchair accessible. We typically work two days a week in the office, but offer the flexibility of home-working anywhere within the UK.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

This is an important senior role in Family Action. As Deputy Director of People, you will lead on all People matters at Family Action, encompassing HR, EDI, volunteers and Learning & Development. You will report to the General Counsel & Director of Systems. Your role will be varied, exciting and incredibly worthwhile. At its heart is a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes, and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference within our organisation, benefiting staff, volunteers and those who use our services. You will be working with managers at all levels to influence, inform and plan work across the entire organisation. We are looking for someone who is motivated and who can draw learning from a range of sources and analyse evidence within its wider organisational context. You will bring substantial Human Resources experience and a strong track record of developing and delivering People strategies. You will be skilled at leading through complexity, navigating change, understanding organisational challenges, and developing effective plans that support continuous improvement.
