We are excited to be working with Child Poverty Action Group (CPAG) to recruit an experienced Interim Head of Fundraising to lead its fundraising strategy and operations, they are looking for someone for 5 months to start at the end of October/early November.

Hybrid working will be two days a week in the London office and three from home.

This is a pivotal role for an organisation committed to tackling child poverty through research, policy, and advocacy.

The role:

  • Refresh and implement the fundraising strategy aligned with the mission and strategic priorities.
  • Lead and manage the fundraising team, setting clear objectives and ensuring each individual team member's professional development.
  • Deliver on fundraising targets by driving forward the pipeline of bids.
  • Lead on the implementation and delivery of fundraising across various portfolios meeting fundraising objectives and KPIs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential funders.
  • Identify and secure new funding opportunities across various channels, focussing on grants (the most significant) as well as legacy gifts, individual giving, community and major donors.
  • Work collaboratively across the organisation to identify fundraising priorities,
  • Effectively manage fundraising income and expenditure budgets.

The candidate:

  • Strong track record of creating and implementing successful fundraising strategies that deliver five and six figure donations or grants
  • Proven track record leading fundraising teams and delivering against ambitious income targets
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute fundraising strategy aligned with organisational goals
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships with trustees, donors, and senior leadership
  • Ideally experience in an interim or leadership capacity within a similar-sized charity or social enterprise
