Herts Young Homeless (hyh) is looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Outreach Worker to help establish and develop an exciting new outreach service.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is motivated by making a real impact and wants to work directly with young people who are at risk of homelessness. As a Senior Outreach Worker, you will play a key role in delivering support, building relationships, and helping young people access the services and opportunities they need to achieve positive outcomes.

Working as part of our Frontline Services team, you will help shape a new service from the ground up while ensuring young people receive high-quality, person-centred support.

About you

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience of supporting young people, vulnerable individuals, or those facing housing-related challenges.
  • Can build trusting and professional relationships with a wide range of people.
  • Is confident working independently and managing a varied caseload.
  • Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Takes a strengths-based and person-centred approach to support.
  • Is committed to inclusion, equality, and empowering young people to achieve their goals.
