As an Apprentice Contracts Surveyor, you will develop the technical, commercial and professional skills needed to become a valued member of a busy commercial team, while studying towards a Level 4 Construction Quantity Surveying Technician Apprenticeship.

Working alongside experienced Contracts Surveyors, you will gain hands‑on experience helping to manage project costs, procurement and commercial performance across major construction projects. Your duties will include:
- Supporting Contracts Surveyors with the commercial management of construction projects
- Assisting with the procurement of subcontractors and suppliers
- Helping analyse project costs, budgets and contract documentation
- Learning how to prepare valuations, cost reports and payment applications
- Supporting cost planning, feasibility studies and risk assessments
- Working with site teams to manage project variations and dayworks
- Assisting with subcontractor payments and financial reporting
- Maintaining accurate project records using company systems
- Developing positive working relationships with clients, consultants and project teams
- Supporting quality, environmental and health & safety management systems
- Taking part in company training, Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and Corporate Social Responsibility activities
On successful completion of your apprenticeship, you may have the opportunity to progress into a permanent Commercial or Quantity Surveying role, continue your professional development and work towards further qualifications and chartered status.
