Overview
An exciting new job role for a band 5 dietitian to work in a well-established HEF team. We are looking for an enthusiastic dietitian with a strong interest in Home enteral feeding to join our department in Warwickshire. Based at Warwick Hospital, you will travel around South Warwickshire seeing patients at home and in care homes, with occasional countywide coverage.
Responsibilities
- Provide advice on enteral feeding at home, including discussions around enteral feeding and collaboration with Nutrition teams to establish this service
- Provide general dietetic advice for patients with different neurological conditions
- Assist with managing Nutricia Homeward and support Dietetic Assistant Practitioners in day-to-day work
- Update diet sheets, contribute to audits, deliver education sessions and train students
- Contribute to the department\\\’s outpatient service where appropriate
- Work autonomously to assess and treat own caseload with support from senior colleagues
- Plan, deliver and evaluate training and education to other healthcare professionals, patient groups and the public
- Liaise with dietetic colleagues and other multidisciplinary teams (e.g., medical, nursing, catering, and other health or social care professionals)
- Promote self-management and prevention to prevent nutritional problems and complications
