Overview
Community Staff Nurse Health Visiting Coventry. Brand new opportunity for a Band 5 Community Staff Nurse within Coventry’s Health Visiting service, part of the Family Health and Lifestyle services, supporting the Healthy Child Programme for 0-5 year olds. 36 hours per week (with a 30-hour post available).

Responsibilities
- Be part of an integrated team working with Health Visiting, School Nursing, Infant Feeding, Stop Smoking in Pregnancy, Be Active Be Healthy, FNP and MAMTA.
- Work in partnership with the Multi-Disciplinary Team and other agencies to ensure excellent standards of care.
- Support the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme (0-5 years) within a progressive universal model and in collaboration with statutory and non-statutory agencies.
- Provide a safe, effective and high-quality service to clients using research-based evidence to inform practice within agreed professional standards.
- Hold a delegated caseload under supervision of the Health Visitor and other senior staff, working under the line management of the Health Visitor/Clinical Lead.
- Support the development and safe delivery of 0-5 services with a view to improving the health and wellbeing of children and young people, especially those from disadvantaged groups.
- Aim to progress towards Specialist Community Public Health Nurse training.
Qualifications
- Qualified nurse (Registered Nurse) with an interest in working with children and progression to Specialist Community Public Health Nurse training.
