About The Team/Department You Will Be Joining
You will be joining a small team of Facilities assistants based within the Operational Support unit in a part time role – 24 hours over three days. The working days will be Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The post will be based at Swansea Central Police Station, but you would be required to work throughout the Swansea Neath Port Talbot area.
About The Role And Your Key Responsibilities
A Facilities assistant will provide a delivery and handyperson service across the Swansea Neath Port Talbot area. This would include but not limited to:
- Deliver building checks
- Reporting defects
- Moving equipment
- Checking Defibs / First aid kits
- Minor works such as painting
The role is physically demanding and therefore requires applicants to be fully fit. The successful candidate may also be required to undergo a Medical Examination. This post is a job share.
What skills and experience do we need you to bring to the role?
- Positive attitude
- This is a reactive role, and you must be willing to be flexible
- Previous experience and knowledge of Health and Safety
- Full driving license
- Successful candidate must be willing to undergo vetting to RV level
