About The Team/Department You Will Be Joining

South Wales Police have an exciting opportunity that has arisen for a part-time Storekeeper on a permanent basis. The Storekeeper will add to our already strong Central Stores team within Estates. The successful candidate will assist the Stores Supervisor to meet the diverse needs of officers and uniformed staff across the whole of South Wales Police.
About The Role And Your Key Responsibilities
An opportunity has arisen for a part-time Storekeeper. The successful person will provide a comprehensive store-keeping service, manage and account stock and arrange distribution of items throughout the force area. This is a part-time position, 18.5 hours, shift pattern Wednesday to Tuesday, will allow some degree of working flexibly.
What skills and experience do we need you to bring to the role:
The Successful Candidate
- Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft applications
- Must have previous administrative experience
- Must have the ability to operate a small fork-lift truck and other mechanical stock handling equipment (after training where necessary)
- Must be able to work efficiently to a high standard
- Must have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude and able to work as part of a team
Please note the successful candidate must be willing to undergo vetting to the required level RV
