We are looking for someone to #JoinUs as a Senior Accountancy Assistant (Financial Accounts) in our Corporate Finance Department. Could you be who we are looking for?

About The Team/Department You Will Be Joining

We are a small team based in the South Wales Police Headquarters in Bridgend. We are a flexible team, and we embrace hybrid working with a mix of working remotely and in Police Headquarters Bridgend. The Team is responsible for preparation of the Statement of Accounts, Treasury Management and Capital, Sales Debtors, VAT and Statistical Returns.

About The Role And Your Key Responsibilities

This role will help maintain detailed financial systems/records, in line with detailed Financial Instructions and audit requirements. A key element of the role will be assisting with the Sales Debtor Control function. There will also be a requirement to contribute to the daily Treasury Management Function within the team.

What skills and experience do we need you to bring to the role

  • Good analytical and organisational skills.
  • Competence in the use of a range of Microsoft applications.
  • Experience of working in a public sector organisation would be preferable but not essential.
